Time For Blog Candy Booty

WOW!!! I am only 21 hits away from 1,500 views. This just boggles my mind. I will post a pic this evening of the booty to be had by a lucky winner. All you have to do is answer one of two questions (or both if you like). What does back to school time mean for you, if it does, and/or do you do anything special for Labor Day weekend to mark the sad end to summer fun?

Back to school doesn't hold much for me anymore now that my son is grown (wow that's a hard pill to swallow). Even though he is still my boy, I am glad to no longer endure the morning struggle of waking him up and the additional challenge of getting him to school on time. For myself, now that I have completed the hundred year plan for college; I am contemplating graduate school. Not sure if I'm read for that commitment completely.

As for Labor Day, this weekend marks the sad end to my favorite weekly farmer's market. It will close until Memorial Day weekend next year. I really enjoy Friday evenings wandering around the different stands tasting all of the fresh fruit. Two weeks after Labor Day I go camping so I don't have to fight for a good site and I there aren't as many others in the campground so it feels like I have more of Mother Nature to myself. I am a total tent camper. No trailers for me. I do have an air mattress, but I just love my tent. I can't wait!

Once my blog hits 1,500 hits, I will close the entries and randomly draw from my official Starbucks cup and announce the winner. I can't wait to see who it is this time!

Thank You sincerely for visiting my little spot on the web.

You have a fun blog. We don't do anything special for Labor Day, just hang out at home. For back to school our kids are grown but it's fun to buy new crayons and stuff for my daycare.

Congrats with completing graduate school!

Its been a long while since I finished school now and a year since I had to drop out of university. But still school start is special for me this year because a good friend of mine is starting as a teacher at my old school. She never went there herself. Several of my ex teachers still work there. So thats exciting.

We don't have labour day so I can't say anything about that. Except ask what it is because I don't think I have heard of it before. I hope you have a great labour day weekend though:)

Congrats on your blog hits!
I'm looking forward to back to school! It means money for me now....and my stamping addiction will once again flourish! I work the lunch program at my daughters school. Although it doesn't pay a ton it is enough to buy my crafting supplies.
Labour Day is a time to relax. Get ready for the school year by enjoying one last weekend together before all the hustle and bustle gets underway.
Congrats on your schooling!! Huge accomplishment and you should be very proud! So glad I found your blog today! I've added to you my list!

Back to school to me doesn't mean anything anymore. All my children are grown and have children of there own. It does mean the beginning of autumn and I sooo love that time of year, with the leaves turning. Then it also means getting busy for the holidays.
Very nice blog and thanks for the chance at the blog candy!

Back to school means it's time to begin my volunteer reading at the grade school across the street. I've never outgrown my love of children's books, plus I love books and reading, so it's a perfect fit for me. Thanks for the great offering of candy. I loved your circle journal. I'm trying to find the time and inclination to do one, too.

Back to school for me means a little peace and quite. WooHoo Labor day weekend is our last weekend before school starts. So we spent it getting ready for school.

As a teacher, back to school means back to work! I never get Labor Day weekend off; I'm usually in the classroom two of the three days that everyone is trying to take their last vacation. Energized by summer, though, it is a very exciting time to greet a new group of students. Thanks for the chance to win blog candy, and congrats on your blog hits!

Actually, school has already started in our neck of the woods. That took a little adjusting since we moved here in January. I only have one child left at home and she only has this year and next year left. THAT will be a huge adjustment!

It's a funny feeling after your children are raised. I keep thinking that I need to do something or be somewhere after raising 4 children. It reminds me that the days of summer are coming to an end and I need to enjoy what is left of the summer while it is still here. Thanks for sharing!

Back to school for us means trying to get organized and get my lesson plans started...I homeschool two, have one in public high school, and one in college. It's nearly time to send off the college one and the others are close behind. I'm not ready!!!!

I see you're a few over 1500, but I'm hoping you haven't drawn yet! We're spending Labor Day at scottish games here in town, listening to bagpipes and drinking scottish beer. I'm looking forward to separating my fighting DDs by sending them back to school :)

I am happy to say that right now, back to school doesn't mean much to us!! lol DH and I have both graduated from college and we have 1 small baby, so no school for us right now. BUT both of our moms teach school, so that does put a damper on free babysitters. ;)

Back to school hasn't meant too much for the past few years since my kids are grown now. But my oldest grandchild is starting Kindergarten this year, so it's going to be a special time for us again. We have already been invited to attend Grandparents day mid-Sept:)
